Football Game Preview: Platteville vs. Dodgeville

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Platteville. They will take on Dodgeville at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Platteville faltered in their game last Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-27 walloping at Prairie du Chien's hands. Platteville were down by 0-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, we expected Dodgeville to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked River Valley last Friday, and they did. Dodgeville found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-31 punch to the gut against River Valley. Dodgeville were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.

Platteville simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Dodgeville 55-0. Will Platteville repeat their success, or does Dodgeville have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
