Johnson County's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the West Greene Buffaloes a 6-0 shutout. For the Longhorns, this counts as revenge for the 9-5 win the Buffaloes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Ceejay Lipford was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Ella Icenhour was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Johnson County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

Johnson County's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for West Greene, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Johnson County will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Greene: the pair will be back at it again later today.
