Softball Recap: Seguin Comes Up Short

After soaring to 22 runs the game before, Seguin was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 17-1 to the Centennial Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Seguin has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Centennial, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seguin will head out to challenge Joshua at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will venture away from home to take on Everman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
