Blue Ridge's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Alchesay Falcons by a score of 5-1. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Cooper Phillips spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Noah Chee was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Brody Ellsworth also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Blue Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Alchesay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-10.

Blue Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alchesay, they will venture away from home to challenge Holbrook at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Roadrunners have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.84 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
