Basketball Game Preview: Attica Red Ramblers vs. Riverton Parke Panthers

The Attica Red Ramblers are taking a road trip to square off against the Riverton Parke Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Attica is headed into the match having just suffered their closest defeat since February 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of North Vermillion by a score of 42-39.

Meanwhile, Riverton Parke was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 61-55 to South Putnam. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Attica will have to contain Haylee Mathas as she made an impact in Riverton Parke's last game. She posted 25 points. Those 25 points gave Mathas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Burleson, who earned seven points and six rebounds.

Attica's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Riverton Parke, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Attica took their win against Riverton Parke when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 47-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Attica since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
