Volleyball Recap: Englewood Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ana Torres and Phoenix Kimura

Englewood lost against Atlantic Coast back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Stingrays. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-7, 25-7.

Englewood's loss came despite strong showings from Phoenix Kimura and Ana Torres. Kimura had 18 digs, while Torres had 11 digs. Kimura is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Englewood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Atlantic Coast, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Coming up, Englewood will head out on the road to challenge Riverside at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Atlantic Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
