Basketball Game Preview: Washington Eagles vs. Lincoln Mustangs

Washington hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Washington Eagles will take on the Lincoln Mustangs at 5:30 p.m.

Washington fought the good fight in their overtime game against Galileo on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Lions 44-39. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They strolled past the Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 54-39.

Lincoln's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points over those games. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.

Washington beat Lincoln 66-57 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Washington since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
