Football Recap: Gautier Gators vs. Pascagoula Panthers

Gautier had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 3-7 to make it five. They had to suffer through a 49-12 loss at the hands of the Pascagoula Panthers. The game marked the Gators' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even if they lost, Gautier's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Larry Freightman was especially locked on to Pascagoula's QB and sacked him twice.

As for Pascagoula, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Amarie Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 134 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Darius Carter did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 100 receiving yards.

Gautier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pascagoula, they have already played their next matchup, a 41-7 victory against Terry on the 14th.
