Volleyball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Vikings vs. Farmington Phoenix

The Pleasant Grove Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Farmington Phoenix at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Pleasant Grove is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Lehi, who was ranked fifth at the time (Pleasant Grove was ranked 12th). The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Pioneers on Thursday.

While Pleasant Grove ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 22-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Farmington entered their tilt with Layton on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Lancers 3-0.

Farmington was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-12.

Farmington pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Pleasant Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
