Soccer Recap: Gibbs Comes Up Short

Gibbs and Northeast combined for ten shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. The Gladiators came up short against the Vikings, falling 4-1. Gibbs have struggled against Northeast recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Gibbs' goal came courtesy of Ryan Thornley, which was the first he's scored this season.

Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Northeast, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Gibbs and Northeast will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Gladiators see the pitch they'll take on Clearwater Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Northeast, their break will end when they face Dunedin at 8:00 p.m. on December 2.
