Recap: New Hanover Wildcats vs. New Bern Bears
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the New Hanover Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 36-15 walloping at the hands of New Bern on Friday. New Hanover was down 29-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Caleb Robles threw for 96 yards on six of 15 attempts. Harrison Isear was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards. On the ground, Caden Morton rushed for 48 yards.
New Hanover's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for New Bern, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.
New Hanover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. New Bern will head out on the road to face off against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cleveland is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
