Crespi snaps three-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: Crespi Celts vs. Sierra Canyon Trailblazers

On Friday, the Crespi Celts faced the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Crespi took a serious blow against Sierra Canyon, falling 84-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (55), Crespi still had to take the loss.

Crespi's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joe Sterling, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton White, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Crespi's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5. As for Sierra Canyon, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Crespi will head out on the road to square off against Chaminade at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chaminade is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Sierra Canyon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Francis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Sierra Canyon is ranked sixth).
