Football Game Preview: Jacobs Golden Eagles vs. Huntley Red Raiders + How To Watch

The Jacobs Golden Eagles will face off against the Huntley Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacobs will be strutting in after a win while Huntley will be coming in after a loss.

Jacobs will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 12 points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against McHenry on Friday. The Golden Eagles claimed a resounding 35-6 victory over the Warriors. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Caden DuMelle produced another solid performance rushing for 175 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Those 175 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Cannady, who rushed for 104 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Huntley came up short against Cary-Grove on Friday and fell 34-27. The loss was the Red Raiders' first of the season.

The victory got Jacobs back to even at 2-2. As for Huntley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Jacobs was able to grind out a solid win over Huntley in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 26-15. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
