She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Nelson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrienne Anderson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Jessi Pitts was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
