The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Antonian Prep nor TMI-Episcopal made it on the board until the ninth inning. The Apaches sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 on Tuesday.

Allen Carreon spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alex Canales, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cai Garza, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Antonian Prep and bumps their season record up to 14-11-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for TMI-Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-13.

Antonian Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
