Pacifica (Garden Grove, Calif.) had a big 20-point first quarter on Saturday, sealing a 39-0 victory over Western (Anaheim, Calif.).

Bradley Odell, a
Avery Watson touchdown run and a Howard touchdown pass to
Michael Flatebo in the quarter.
Pacifica was up 30-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Howard touchdown pass to Odell in the first quarter.
PHS expanded its lead to 33 points entering the fourth quarter. The Garden Grove school scored once in the quarter on a field goal by
Josh Alcalde.
Howard was the top performer for the Mariners. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns.
Pacifica came in allowing an average of 24.7 points per game this season.
When the two teams played each other last season, PHS came away with a 21-14 victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Mariners, which lost to Tustin last week, 56-0.
Pacifica (4-3) goes up against Valencia in a Empire game matchup next week, while Western (3-5) locks horns with Kennedy also in a Empire game.
