Baseball Recap: Crawford Pirates vs. Lipan Indians

With a playoff win on the line, Crawford rose to the challenge on Thursday. They beat the Lipan Indians by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-3. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

JJ Suarez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

In other batting news, Caleb Minnix was excellent, earning three runs and two stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Cameron Parsons was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
