Volleyball Game Preview: Rowlett Eagles vs. Wylie Pirates

Rowlett hasn't had much luck against Wylie recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m.

Rowlett came up short against Sachse on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Rowlett was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Sachse work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-10, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Wylie came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Wylie's got stronger as the match went on, holding Wylie East to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 25-11.

Wylie's win bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Rowlett, their loss dropped their record down to 7-19.

Rowlett suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Wylie in their previous meeting back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Pirates' Jolene Bao, who had 12 digs and 11 aces. Now that the Eagles know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
