Recap: Heartland Huskies vs. Fillmore Central Panthers

The Heartland Huskies suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 69-26 loss at the hands of Fillmore Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Heartland has scored all season.

Fillmore Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trevor Roach out in front who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Stoner, who scored ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Heartland and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Fillmore Central, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Heartland's road trip will continue as they head out to face Nebraska Christian at 7:45 p.m. on January 23rd. Nebraska Christian has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. As for Fillmore Central, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Centennial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
