Softball Recap: Milpitas Comes Up Short

Milpitas is still winless after their contest against King's Academy on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the King's Academy Knights. One positive for the Trojans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Milpitas got a massive performance out of Isabella Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Jaye Hudson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Milpitas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for King's Academy, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milpitas will host Piedmont Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King's Academy, they will challenge Mission College Prep at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
