Recap: Community Academy of Philadelphia The Bruins vs. Kimberton Waldorf Bulls
The Community Academy of Philadelphia The Bruins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Kimberton Waldorf 59-24 on the road. With that victory, Community Academy of Philadelphia brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.
Community Academy of Philadelphia was led to victory by Gabriel Solis and Gabriel Gonzalez. Solis dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Gonzalez dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 assists. That's the first time this season that Gonzalez posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Randy Hidalgo-Paulino, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Several Bulls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JoJo Da Graca, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Wan, who scored five points along with three steals.
Community Academy of Philadelphia pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Kimberton Waldorf, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Academy of Philadelphia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kohelet Yeshiva at 4:00 p.m. on December 14th.
