Softball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ridgeview can now relate to. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fleming Island Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Bella Jeffers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Emma Lundy also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Ridgeview's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Fleming Island, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Ridgeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fleming Island, they will challenge Orange Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
