Pyramid Lake and Smith Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Pyramid Lake had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Smith Valley Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lakers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
While Pyramid Lake was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Smith Valley's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11, 25-13.
