Baseball Recap: Overland Takes a Loss

Gateway hit Overland with a five-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trailblazers fell 11-7 to the Olympians. The defeat continues a trend for the Trailblazers in their meetings with the Olympians: they've now lost three in a row.

James Wethington was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Jimenez-Solis, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Overland's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Gateway, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.
