Baseball Recap: Riverside Prep Takes a Loss

Riverside Prep entered their game against Village Christian on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Riverside Prep Silver Knights took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Village Christian Crusaders. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Silver Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Riverside Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayman Pluma, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Pluma has posted since back in April of 2024. Andrew Logsdon was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Riverside Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Village Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Prep will head out to square off against Upland at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Riverside Prep 3.1, Upland 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Village Christian, they will face off against San Marino at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
