Northwestern is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Jefferson. The Northwestern Bulls fell just short of the Jefferson Orange Wave by a score of 66-64. The Bulls' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Several Bulls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dwight Carter, who went 5 of 7 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiro Smith, who posted 13 points and three steals.
