If Saugus was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hart on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Centurions fell just short of the Golden Valley Grizzlies by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Centurions' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Saugus sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 17-25, 25-14, 18-25, 15-13.

Saugus' loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Golden Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Saugus will challenge Castaic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Golden Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Knight on the 19th.
