Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Abraham Andrade and Maverick Allen Lead Parker to Victory

Parker waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over the Highland Prep Honey Badgers.

Leading Parker to victory were Maverick Allen and Abraham Andrade. Allen dropped a double-double with 33 points and 11 boards, while Andrade dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. What's more, Allen also posted a 47% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Oscar Ortega, who posted five points.

Several Honey Badgers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terrance Byrd, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Byrd has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aeden Calini, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 rebounds.

Parker's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Highland Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.

Parker has already played their next game, a 78-56 loss against Gilbert Christian on the 12th. As for Highland Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-65 defeat against Thatcher on the 14th.
