Baseball Recap: Permian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Permian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Socorro Bulldogs by a score of 10-8 on Thursday. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Permian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14-1. As for Socorro, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-16 record this season.

While Permian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
