South Pittsburg has gone a perfect 9-0 against Lookout Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pirates will face off against the Yellowjackets at 8:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Pittsburg has five straight wins, Lookout Valley has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

South Pittsburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 69-8 victory over Christian County. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lookout Valley was just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 20-19 to Copper Basin. While the Yellowjackets had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Cougars 12-8.

South Pittsburg will need to focus on slowing down Alexander Murasso, one of several Lookout Valley players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Gage Holland, who gained 86 total yards.

Lookout Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for South Pittsburg, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
