Volleyball Recap: Johnston Victorious

Johnston won the last time they faced Lincoln and things went their way on Saturday too. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Lynx 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dragons have posted since September 20th.

Johnston can attribute much of their success to Grayce Reiners, who had five digs and three aces. Emma Gray also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Johnston was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Johnston's win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season.

Johnston has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Des Moines Christian on the 4th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Sioux City East on the 7th.
