Colfax lost to Wheatland back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Colfax's got stronger as the match went on, holding Wheatland to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Wheatland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Gaylord had 11 digs and one assist. Gaylord is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Colfax's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Wheatland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Colfax wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bear River on the 23rd. As for Wheatland, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hamilton on the 20th.
