Our Lady Academy and Hancock are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2020, but not for long. The Crescents are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Our Lady Academy will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Gulfport, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Crescents came out on top against the Admirals by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

While Our Lady Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Hancock hadn't done well against Ocean Springs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Hawks won by a set and slipped past the Greyhounds 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since August 24, 2024.

Hancock had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 14-25, 25-18, 25-14, 15-6.

Hancock pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Our Lady Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Our Lady Academy beat Hancock 2-0 in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crescents since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
