Soccer Game Preview: Olentangy Orange vs. Bishop Watterson

The Olentangy Orange Pioneers will head out to square off against the Bishop Watterson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Olentangy Orange's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Olentangy Orange didn't have quite enough to beat Olentangy Liberty and fell 3-2. Olentangy Orange haven't had much luck with Olentangy Liberty recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bishop Watterson fell victim to Hilliard Darby and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bishop Watterson came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Hilliard Darby are ranked 162nd).

Olentangy Orange now has a losing record of 5-6-4. As for Bishop Watterson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1-2.

Olentangy Orange might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Bishop Watterson in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
