Basketball Recap: Yorkville Christian Takes a Loss

Yorkville Christian and Aurora Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Yorkville Christian had to settle for second. They lost 68-48 to the Aurora Christian Eagles.

When it comes to explaining why Yorkville Christian lost, don't look at Zach Marini. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-14 on his way to 19 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Riley, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 10 points.

Yorkville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Aurora Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-12.

As of now, neither Yorkville Christian nor Aurora Christian have any future games scheduled.
