Centaurus and Niwot are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Warriors will welcome the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centaurus is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Centaurus came up short against Frederick and fell 9-6.

Dylan Glenn and Jack Brutsch were huge no matter where they played even without the win. Throwing, Glenn pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Brutsch tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Furthermore, Glenn didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2025. At bat, Glenn went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run, while Brutsch got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Ari Schoenwald-Reed was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nick Parana, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Niwot didn't have quite enough to beat Horizon on Tuesday and fell 6-5.

Niwot saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matis Castro, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Niwot's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Centaurus, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Centaurus beat Niwot 4-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
