Soccer Recap: Poquoson Comes Up Short

Poquoson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lafayette Rams, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Poquoson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Lafayette are ranked 24th).

Poquoson's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lafayette, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2-1.

Poquoson wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Bruton on the 9th. As for Lafayette, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Tabb on the 9th.
