Basketball Recap: Kelsey Borgman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jac-Cen-Del over South Ripley

Jac-Cen-Del played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the South Ripley Raiders, falling 74-51. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-27 back in November of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelsey Borgman, who went 5 for 10 en route to 15 points along with five assists and five boards. Cheyenne Cullen was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Borgman wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Jac-Cen-Del was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Jac-Cen-Del has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for South Ripley, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Jac-Cen-Del wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-44 defeat against Southwestern on the 30th. South Ripley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
