Volleyball Recap: Liberal Takes a Loss

Liberal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Northwest Grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redskins of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12.

Northwest can attribute much of their success to Reese Johnson, who had nine digs and two aces.

Liberal's loss dropped their record down to 5-28-1. As for Northwest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-6 record this season.

Liberal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest, they will square off against Manhattan at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
