Softball Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

Jefferson County fell victim to Morristown-Hamblen West and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Jefferson County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayli Reece, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Jefferson County will take on Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, they will venture away from home to face off against Sevier County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
