With a playoff win on the line, Lapel rose to the challenge on Friday. They managed a 26-22 win over the Eastern Hancock Royals. The victory was just business as usual for the Bulldogs, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Devin Craig was his usual excellent self, throwing for 300 yards and four touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Lapel didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Eastern Hancock to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. The team can thank Mason Page for the heroic effort on defense: he. Lapel wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 53.6%.

Eastern Hancock lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Bowman, who picked up 45 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He was even better on defense, picking up a sack, making nine total tackles, and defending one pass. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Hayden Jackson, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Lapel's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Eastern Hancock, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Lapel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 28-15 victory against Triton Central on the 7th. Eastern Hancock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
