Volleyball Recap: Joe Penano Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Start

The Steele Comets earned a 2-0 win over the Start Spartans on Saturday.

While Steele might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Start scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Steele to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joe Penano, who had 12 assists and six digs. Prince Tran was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

The victory got Steele back to even at 2-2. As for Start, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Steele has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Firestone on the 18th. As for Start, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Northwest Ohio Classical Academy on the 20th.
