Volleyball Game Preview: University Hawks vs. James Monroe Mavericks

The University Hawks will face off against the James Monroe Mavericks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, University was able to grind out a solid victory over Preston, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

University had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 25-10, 25-13.

Meanwhile, James Monroe earned a 2-0 win over Gilmer County on Tuesday.

James Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 27-8-2. As for University, their win bumped their record up to 22-8-2.
