Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Takes a Loss

If Sycamore was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Middletown on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aviators fell 2-0 to the Harrison Wildcats on Saturday. The Aviators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Sycamore was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Sycamore lost, don't look at Lainey Tilton. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and two aces.

Sycamore's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Harrison, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Sycamore has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on the 27th. As for Harrison, they will face off against East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
