Flag Football Recap: Selma's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Selma was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 28-6 to the Brewbaker Tech Rams. The contest marked the Saints' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

A big part of Brewbaker Tech's win came down to the chemistry between Tessa Wilburn and her top target Heleyna Pennic. Wilburn threw for 124 yards and four TDs while Pennic picked up 46 receiving yards and three scores. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Pennic a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Selma fell to 6-1. As for Brewbaker Tech, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Selma has already played their next matchup, a 21-6 loss against Montgomery Catholic on the 7th. As for Brewbaker Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 33-14 win against Alabama Christian Academy on the 6th.
