Basketball Game Preview: Riverview Sharks vs. Sumner Stingrays + How To Watch

Riverview is 0-6 against Sumner since February of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Sharks will welcome the Stingrays at 6:30 p.m. Riverview will be strutting in after a victory while Sumner will be coming in after a defeat.

If Riverview beats Sumner with 70 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Sharks strolled past Jefferson with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 70-54. The win continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Sumner ended up a good deal behind Gaither on Wednesday and lost 65-49. The matchup marked the Stingrays' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sumner's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Riverview, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Riverview was taken down by Sumner 60-21 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Sharks were down 50-16.
