Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lily Brown and Olivia Bonomi Lead Bridgewater-Raynham to Victory

Bridgewater-Raynham needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight matches and they got it from Emily Rogers. The Trojans blew past the Fontbonne Academy Ducks 3-0 on Friday thanks in part to Rogers, who had 21 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Bridgewater-Raynham never let Fontbonne Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-22.

Leading Bridgewater-Raynham to victory were Olivia Bonomi and Lily Brown. Bonomi had 15 assists and eight digs, while Brown had nine kills, three digs, and two aces. That's the most aces Brown has posted since back in September. Gabriella Dacey was another key player, getting three digs, two aces, and one block.

They weren't the only good servers: Bridgewater-Raynham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Bridgewater-Raynham's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Fontbonne Academy, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8.

Bridgewater-Raynham has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Durfee on the 7th. As for Fontbonne Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Malden Catholic on the 6th.
