Basketball Recap: Strong Takes a Loss

Strong lost against Lafayette County last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Strong Bulldogs received a blow as they fell 65-51 to the Lafayette County Cougars. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lafayette County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty Palermo out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Palermo has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Rod Bailey was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven assists.

Strong's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lafayette County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Strong won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hermitage at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lafayette County, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Bradley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
