Basketball Recap: Explorations Academy's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Explorations Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The matchup between them and American Studies didn't end well, with Explorations Academy falling 51-33. Explorations Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as American Studies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Explorations Academy's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4. As for American Studies, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Explorations Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Language & Tech at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. American Studies will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against IN-Tech Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
