Soccer Game Preview: Fairfield Central vs. Eau Claire

The Fairfield Central Griffins will take on the Eau Claire Shamrocks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfield Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Fairfield Central came up short against Great Falls on Monday, falling 11-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Fairfield Central were already down 6-1.

Meanwhile, Eau Claire fell victim to Clinton and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Red Devils. Eau Claire have struggled against Clinton recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Fairfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Eau Claire, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Fairfield Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Eau Claire when the teams last played back in March, winning 2-0. Do the Griffins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Shamrocks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
